Albania Unemployment Rate

Albania's unemployment rate fell to 8.5% in Q2 2025 from 8.7% in Q1 2025. This is the lowest rate in three quarters. GDP grew by 3.51% year-on-year in Q2 2025. Growth was driven by services including trade, transport, accommodation and food services. The construction sector also expanded, showing a 5.2% increase in turnover and a 4.8% rise in production compared to Q2 2024. Albania's record low unemployment rate was 8.1% in Q3 2024 and record high was 17.3% in Q4 2015.

The Albania unemployment rate shows the proportion of the labor force actively seeking work but without jobs. INSTAT calculates this by dividing the number of unemployed people by the total labor force, then multiplying by 100.
