Brazil Stock Market Index (Bovespa)

Bovespa Index rose by 0.71% on Friday October 24, trading at 146,756.9 with a weekly gain of 2.34% and monthly gain of 1%. This is an all-time high. Brazil's annual inflation easing to 5.13% in August while still above the central bank's target, provided a slight reprieve for the Bovespa Index. The Bovespa Index was supported by the Brazilian economy's resilience, shown by a 0.40% GDP expansion in the second quarter of 2025. Industrial production rising 0.8% month-on-month in August also bolstered the Bovespa, offsetting weakness in the services sector. The Central Bank of Brazil's decision to maintain the Selic rate at 15% in September signaled caution and influenced investor sentiment on the Bovespa due to persistent inflation and global uncertainties. Its 52-week high was 147,578.4, while its 52-week low was 118,222.6.
