Djibouti Poverty Rate

Djibouti's poverty rate fell to 25.4% in 2017, down from 31.2% in 2013, according to World Bank. This represents a decrease of 5.8% from the previous year. Djibouti has poverty rate higher than the global median (25.40% vs median 1.90%). Compared with the median in Africa, Djibouti is lower (25.40% vs regional median 37.35%) and ranks 24th out of 36 countries in Africa.

Djibouti's annual unemployment rate fell to 25.88% in 2024, down from 26.15% in 2023.
