Afghanistan Annual Exports

Afghanistan's exports fell to $870.49 million in 2019, down from $884.5 million in 2018, according to the UN Comtrade Database. This represents a decrease of 1.6% ($14.02 million) from the previous year. Top exports from Afghanistan were Edible fruits and nuts, citrus or ($386.98 million), Lac, gums, resins, vegetable extracts ($115.06 million), Edible vegetables, roots and tubers ($80.75 million). Afghanistan's top three export partners in 2019 were India (47.1%), Pakistan (34.3%), and China (3.6%), together accounting for 85.0% of total exports.

Afghanistan's trade deficit widened to $7.7 billion in 2019 from $6.52 billion in 2018. This shows an increase of 18% ($1.18 billion).
