Bahrain Annual Exports
Bahrain's exports fell to $12.41 billion in 2023, down from $22.25 billion in 2022, according to the UN Comtrade Database. This represents a decrease of 44.2% ($9.85 billion) from the previous year. Top exports from Bahrain were Aluminium and aluminium articles ($4.76 billion), Ores, slag, ash ($1.84 billion), Machinery, mechanical appliances and reactors ($748.35 million). Bahrain's top three export partners in 2023 were Saudi Arabia (23.5%), United Arab Emirates (14.3%), and United States (8.4%), together accounting for 46.2% of total exports.
Bahrain moved from a trade surplus of $6.72B in 2022 to a deficit of $2.95B in 2023. This represents a reversal of $9.67 billion (143.9%).
