United States Exports to Japan

The United States' exports to Japan rose to $79.72 billion in 2024, up from $76.15 billion in 2023, according to the UN Comtrade Database. This represents an increase of 4.7% ($3.56 billion) from the previous year. Top exports from the United States to Japan were Mineral fuels, oils, waxes, bitumen ($12.30 billion), Pharmaceutical products ($8.41 billion), Machinery, mechanical appliances and reactors ($8.02 billion).

United States had a trade deficit with Japan that narrowed to $72.35 billion in 2024 from $75.43 billion in 2023. This is a decrease of 4.1% ($3.08 billion).
