Gabon Poverty Rate

Gabon's poverty rate fell to 3.8% in 2017, down from 9.2% in 2005, according to World Bank. This represents a decrease of 5.4% from the previous year. Gabon has poverty rate higher than the global median (3.80% vs median 1.90%). Compared with the median in Africa, Gabon is lower (3.80% vs regional median 37.35%) and ranks 32nd out of 36 countries in Africa.

Gabon's annual unemployment rate fell to 20.06% in 2024, down from 20.28% in 2023.
