The decline occurred despite strong private consumption. This consumption was driven by rising real wages and decreasing unemployment in early 2024. Georgia's annual inflation rate was 0.3% in October 2024. Risks to the economic outlook persisted due to the October Parliamentary elections. Georgia's record low consumer confidence was -48.3 points in April 2020 and record high was -10.8 points in October 2016.
