Ghana Exports
Ghana's exports decreased by 16.5%, falling from $2.29 billion in July 2025 to $1.91 billion in August 2025. This decline stems from a 34% drop in oil exports between January and August 2025 compared to the previous year, caused by operational issues and lower output. Global cocoa prices also faced pressure from increased production forecasts for Ghana. While gold exports remained strong, the reduction in oil revenue and potential cocoa price volatility explain the export contraction. Ghana's record low exports were $696.32 million in September 2015 and record high exports were $2.62 billion in March 2025.
