Guinea Poverty Rate

Guinea's poverty rate fell to 11.7% in 2018, down from 21.3% in 2012, according to World Bank. This represents a decrease of 9.6% from the previous year. Guinea has poverty rate higher than the global median (11.70% vs median 1.90%). Compared with the median in Africa, Guinea is lower (11.70% vs regional median 37.35%) and ranks 29th out of 36 countries in Africa.

Guinea's annual unemployment rate fell to 5.23% in 2024, down from 5.24% in 2023.
