Nigeria's imports from China fell to $9.57 billion in 2024, down from $11.95 billion in 2023, according to the UN Comtrade Database. This represents a decrease of 20% ($2.39 billion) from the previous year. Top imports for Nigeria from China were Machinery, mechanical appliances, reactors ($2.23 billion), Electrical machinery and equipment ($1.44 billion) and Vehicles other than railway or tramway ($820.00 million).

Nigeria had a trade deficit with China that narrowed to $7.54 billion in 2024 from $10.34 billion in 2023. This is a decrease of 27.1% ($2.8 billion).
