Venezuela Annual Imports

Venezuela's imports fell to $44.95 billion in 2013, down from $59.07 billion in 2012, according to the UN Comtrade Database. This represents a decrease of 23.9% ($14.12 billion) from the previous year. Top imports for Venezuela were Machinery, mechanical appliances, reactors ($8.38 billion), Electrical machinery and equipment ($4.05 billion) and Pharmaceutical products ($3.21 billion). Venezuela's top three import partners in 2013 were United States (23.3%), China (17.0%), and Brazil (10.0%), together accounting for 50.3% of total imports.

Venezuela's trade surplus rose to $43.01 billion in 2013 from $35.96 billion in 2012. This shows an increase of 19.6% ($7.05 billion).
