Jamaica Unemployment Rate

Jamaica's unemployment rate fell to an all-time low of 3.3% in Q2 2025. This is a decrease from 3.7% in Q1 2025. Total employment increased by 24,200 jobs year-over-year. Gains were concentrated in the services and sales sectors, adding over 21,000 jobs. Public administration and defense added over 8,000 jobs. The number of people outside the labor force decreased by 11,300, primarily women. Youth unemployment dropped by 9,800. Jamaica's record low unemployment rate was 3.3% in Q2 2025 and record high was 13.7% in Q2 2016.
