Lithuania's unemployment rate fell to 8.3% in September 2025 from 8.8% in August 2025. This is the lowest rate observed since May 2024. Economic growth is expected for Lithuania in 2025 with forecasts ranging from 2.6% to 3.1%. Increased hiring is anticipated, especially in technology, where 80% of firms projected greater hiring needs by 2025. Lithuania's record low unemployment rate was 7.2% in September 2016 and record high was 16.4% in January 2021.
