Moldova Unemployment Rate

Moldova's unemployment rate fell to 4% in Q2 2025 from 4.4% in Q1 2025. This decrease occurred as the labor force grew by 5.2% to 824.7 thousand. GDP increased by 1.1% year-on-year in Q2 2025. Construction output rose 7.2% and utilities output increased 20.0%. These sectors absorbed more workers, lowering the number of unemployed to 32.8 thousand. Moldova's record low unemployment rate was 2.2% in Q3 2018 and record high was 7.7% in Q1 2019.
