Mozambique's poverty rate rose to 82.2% in 2019, up from 74.4% in 2014, according to World Bank. This represents an increase of 7.8% from the previous year. Mozambique has the 2nd highest poverty rate. Other top countries are Congo - Kinshasa, Malawi, Burundi and Zambia.
Mozambique's annual unemployment rate rose to 3.53% in 2024, up from 3.52% in 2023.
