USD/PKR : US Dollar / Pakistani Rupee

USD/PKR unchanged on Friday October 24, trading at 283.302 with a weekly gain of 0.12% and monthly loss of 0.08%. The State Bank of Pakistan's agreement with the IFC to boost local currency financing and manage currency risks is expected to support the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. Increased IFC investments in Pakistani rupees will likely reduce demand for USD/PKR. The projected drop in inflation to 4.5% and a current account surplus in fiscal year 2025, driven by higher financial inflows, will strengthen the Rupee. Efforts to enable trade settlements in local currencies such as the swap agreement with China, will reduce reliance on the US Dollar for international transactions, further pressuring USD/PKR downwards. Its 52-week high was 284.925, while its 52-week low was 276.9845.
