Puerto Rico Unemployment Rate : Definition
The Puerto Rico unemployment rate shows the percentage of the labor force actively seeking work but unable to find it. It is calculated by dividing the number of unemployed persons by the total labor force (employed plus unemployed) and multiplying by 100. The labor force excludes those not seeking jobs.
