Bahrain Balance of Trade
Bahrain's trade deficit decreased by 8.1 percent to 194 million BHD in August 2025 from 211 million BHD in July 2025. This decline occurred as non-oil imports rose 17 percent year-on-year in July 2025 while non-oil exports fell 1 percent. Major imports included non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates and key exports were unwrought aluminum alloys. Bahrain's record low balance of trade was -401 million BHD in December 2018 and record high was 1.32 billion BHD in December 2015.

Bahrain's balance of trade shows the difference between the monetary value of its goods and services exports and imports. It is calculated by subtracting the total value of imports from the total value of exports, expressed in Bahraini Dinars (BHD). A positive balance represents a trade surplus while a negative balance indicates a trade deficit.
