Ecuador Consumer Confidence
Ecuador's consumer confidence fell by 0.3% to 38.35 points in August 2025 from 38.45 points in July 2025. This decline was driven by accelerating food prices and consumer uncertainty stemming from public sector restructuring in July 2025 which resulted in an estimated 5,000 job losses. Persistent security concerns including ongoing gang-related violence, also negatively affected consumer sentiment. Ecuador's record low consumer confidence was 26.9 points in May 2016 and record high was 41.9 points in September 2018.
