Ecuador's benchmark interest rate fell to 8% by September 30, 2025, the lowest since July 2022, down from 8.17% on August 31, 2025. This decrease is due to 0.81% inflation in August 2025 and a 3.4% year-on-year GDP rebound in Q1 2025. Policy rates also decreased between January and February 2025. Ecuador's record low interest rate was 6.67% on May 31, 2018 and record high was 11.68% on September 30, 2024.
