Montenegro Adult Literacy Rate

Montenegro's adult literacy rate rose to 99% in 2021, up from 98.5% in 2018, according to World Bank. This represents an increase of 0.5% from the previous year. Montenegro has adult literacy rate higher than the global median (98.98% vs median 93.38%). Compared with the median in Europe, Montenegro is lower (98.98% vs regional median 99.10%) and ranks 17th out of 23 countries in Europe.
