Morocco Consumer Confidence

Morocco's consumer confidence fell by 1.8%, from 54.6 points in Q2 2025 to 53.6 points in Q3 2025. This decline stems from ongoing worries about the cost of living and household purchasing power. In Q3, 96% of households reported higher food prices with over 80% expecting further increases. Widespread pessimism about living standards persists as 78% of households reported a deterioration over the past year and more than half anticipate a decline in the next 12 months. Concerns about unemployment also remain with 70% of respondents expecting joblessness to rise. Consumer appetite for major purchases is weak with nearly 70% of respondents believing it is not an opportune time to buy durable goods. Morocco's record low consumer confidence was 44.3 points in Q4 2023 and record high was 87.3 points in Q1 2018.
