Singapore's unemployment rate held steady at 2% in the second quarter of 2025, unchanged from the first quarter of 2025. Total employment increased by 10,400 in the second quarter, an increase from the first quarter. Resident employment grew in Health & Social Sciences. Non-resident employment growth was in construction and transport. Job vacancies exceeded jobseekers by a ratio of 1.35 in June 2025. Retrenchments were low. Singapore's record low unemployment rate was 1.4% in Q2 1990 and record high was 6% in Q1 1986.
