Ethiopia Inflation Rate
Ethiopia's inflation rate fell to 13.2% in September 2025, down from 13.6% in August 2025. This is the lowest rate since April 2019. Tighter monetary policy from the National Bank of Ethiopia and better agricultural output are helping to lower inflation. The bank aims for single-digit inflation through managing money supply and its policy rate. However, month-on-month inflation increased to 2.0% in September, showing new price pressures. Ethiopia's record low inflation was 5.5% in October 2016 and record high was 37.7% in May 2022.
