Italy Manufacturing PMI
Italy's Manufacturing PMI fell by 2.8% to 49.0 points in September 2025, reaching a three-month low. This followed a reading of 50.4 points in August. The decline was caused by lower production and new orders. Production fell to 49.2 from 52.2. New orders dropped to 47.6 from 50.2. Export orders decreased at their fastest pace since March due to weaker international demand. However, employment increased for the first time in a year, driven by business expansion plans. Italy's record low Manufacturing PMI was 43.8 in June 2023 and record high was 52.0 in February 2023.
