Mongolia Interest Rate

Mongolia's interest rate held steady at 12% in September 2025, matching the July 2025 rate. The Bank of Mongolia aims for inflation stability and macroeconomic resilience. August 2025 inflation was 8.8% with rising food prices. Inflation is expected to fall within the target range in 2026, following policy tightening. Economic growth reached 5.6% in the first half of 2025, boosted by agriculture. Growth is projected to continue in the second half, supported by copper production and construction. Mongolia's record low interest rate was 6% in November 2020 and record high was 15% in August 2016.
