Portugal's new home sales fell by 0.6% in Q2 2025 to 8,310 dwellings, down from 8,359 dwellings in Q1 2025. This Q2 figure represents the lowest sales volume in four quarters. Housing interest rates in Portugal decreased to 3.307% in August 2025. The European Central Bank held its deposit facility rate at 2.00% and its main refinancing rate at 2.15% through mid-2025. Euro area inflation was expected at 2.1% for 2025. Portugal's record low new home sales was 4,798 dwellings in Q3 2015 and record high was 9,118 dwellings in Q4 2024.
