Belgium's travel earnings fell to $7.45 billion in 2020, down from $10.58 billion in 2019, according to World Bank. This represents a decrease of 29.6% ($3.13 billion) from the previous year. Belgium has travel earnings higher than the global median ($7.45 billion vs median $677.50 million). Compared with the median in Europe, Belgium is higher ($7.45 billion vs regional median $3.89 billion) and ranks 11th out of 35 countries in Europe.

Belgium's visitor arrivals fell to 2.58 million in 2020, down from 9.34 million in 2019.
