Croatia Balance of Trade
Croatia's trade deficit in August 2025 was €1.34 billion, the highest since December 2024. This was a 15.9% decrease from the July 2025 deficit of €1.59 billion. The cumulative trade deficit for January-August 2025 reached €13.1 billion, a slight increase from €13.0 billion in the same period of 2024. Exports for the period rose by 4.6% year-on-year to €16.2 billion while imports grew by 2.9% to €29.3 billion. Imports grew faster than exports, widening the year-to-date deficit. Croatia's record low balance of trade was -€2.02 billion in May 2024 and record high was -€471.13 million in November 2015.

Croatia's balance of trade shows the difference between the value of its goods and services exports and imports, measured in EUR. It is calculated by subtracting total imports from total exports. A positive result shows a trade surplus, a negative result indicates a trade deficit.
