Top imports for Colombia were Mineral fuels, oils, waxes, bitumen ($6.49 billion), Machinery, mechanical appliances, reactors ($6.44 billion) and Electrical machinery and equipment ($6.04 billion). Colombia's top three import partners in 2023 were United States (25.8%), China (21.6%), and Brazil (6.4%), together accounting for 53.8% of total imports.
Colombia's trade deficit narrowed to $13.01 billion in 2023 from $20.5 billion in 2022. This shows a decrease of 36.5% ($7.49 billion).
