Pakistan Balance of Trade
Pakistan's trade deficit widened to 943.07 billion PKR in September 2025. This is the highest deficit in five months. The deficit increased by 16.1% from 812 billion PKR in August 2025. Higher import costs due to rising global energy prices and lower demand for Pakistan's exports such as textiles, drove this increase. Pakistan's record low balance of trade was -1.01 trillion PKR in June 2022 and record high was -155.82 billion PKR in February 2016.
