South Korea Manufacturing PMI

South Korea's Manufacturing PMI increased by 5% to 50.7 points in September 2025, up from 48.3 points in August 2025. This is the highest reading since August 2024 and the first expansion since January 2025. Overseas demand and export orders improved, leading to increased production and new orders. Output grew at the fastest pace in 13 months. South Korea's record low Manufacturing PMI was 47.3 points in September 2022 and record high was 52 points in June 2024.

The South Korea Manufacturing PMI from S&P Global surveys purchasing managers on business conditions. It is calculated from five components New Orders, Production, Employment, Supplier Deliveries and Inventories. A value above 50 indicates expansion in the manufacturing sector while a value below 50 signals contraction.
