Bulgaria Consumer Confidence

Bulgaria's consumer confidence fell by 28.7% to -21.1 points in Q3 2025, the lowest since Q4 2023, down from -16.4 points in Q2 2025. This decline reflects increased pessimism about the national economy and household finances. Higher inflation which hit 5.3% in July 2025, also contributed. Consumers showed less willingness to save and purchase major durable goods. Bulgaria's record low consumer confidence was -41.8 points in Q2 2020 and record high was -8.4 points in Q3 2024.

Bulgaria consumer confidence, from the National Statistical Institute, shows how optimistic households are about the national economy and their personal finances. It comes from surveys asking Bulgarians about their views on the economy, their finances and spending plans. The result is a balance score showing net optimism.
