Chile Interest Rate
Chile's interest rate remained at 4.75% in September 2025, unchanged from July 2025. This followed a 25 basis point cut in July from 5.00%. The Central Bank of Chile held the rate steady due to higher-than-expected core inflation and upward revisions to future inflation forecasts. A stronger domestic economy in Q2 and robust salary growth also influenced this decision. The central bank aims to return inflation to its 3% target within two years. Chile's record low interest rate was 0.5% in July 2009 and record high was 14% in September 1998.
