Euro Area Services PMI
The Euro Area Services PMI rose to 52.6 in October 2025, up from 51.3 in September 2025. This 2.5% increase marks the highest reading since August 2024, driven by the strongest growth in new orders in two-and-a-half years. The sector's expansion is the strongest of 2025. However, business confidence declined at the start of the fourth quarter. Political uncertainty in France is impacting spending and confidence despite its services sector accelerating to 54.5 in October. France's economic situation is a drag on the Eurozone. Euro Area's record low Services PMI was 47.8 in October 2023 and record high was 56.2 in April 2023.

Euro Area Services PMI : Definition
The Euro Area Services PMI is an index from S&P Global measuring activity in the region's service sector. It uses survey responses from purchasing managers about business activity, new orders, employment and prices. A reading above 50 indicates expansion while a reading below 50 shows contraction.
