Hungary GDP Growth Rate (YoY)

Hungary's GDP annual growth rate was 0.1% in Q2 2025, up from 0% in Q1 2025. This growth occurred despite a 4.9% year-on-year decline in industrial production in June 2025. Economic recovery for 2025 is expected to remain below 1%, affected by weak export demand and business uncertainty. Sluggish industrial output, especially in manufacturing, drove the early 2025 slowdown. While private consumption shows resilience due to real wage growth, high interest rates and inflation pose challenges. Hungary's record low GDP annual growth rate was -12.7% in Q2 2020 and record high was 17.9% in Q2 2021.
