Russia has happiness index higher than the global median (5.95 points vs median 5.82 points). Compared with the median in Europe, Russia is lower (5.95 points vs regional median 6.51 points) and ranks 30th out of 42 countries in Europe.
Russia's life expectancy rose to 73.25 years in 2023, up from 72.55 years in 2022.
