Russia Retail Sales YoY
Russia's retail sales year-on-year increased by 2.8% in August 2025. This is the highest growth since January 2025 and an acceleration from the 2% rise in July 2025. Non-food retail trade grew by 4.2% while food retail trade rose by 1.5%. This growth was supported by broader economic activity. Consumer spending showed resilience in August despite economic concerns. Russia's record low retail sales year-on-year was -22% in April 2020 and record high was 36.3% in April 2021.
