South Africa Core Inflation Rate
South Africa's core inflation rate increased to 3.2% in September 2025 from 3.1% in August 2025. This is the highest rate recorded since February 2025. The rise is attributed to higher prices for food and services as well as increased electricity price inflation following recent adjustments by NERSA. South Africa's record low core inflation rate was 2.5% in February 2021 and record high was 8.4% in May 2009.
