Taiwan Consumer Confidence
Taiwan's consumer confidence index increased by 2.2% to 64.69 points in September 2025, reaching a four-month high. This rise was primarily driven by an increased willingness to invest in stocks with the relevant sub-index jumping to 51.68 from 31.20 in August. However, sentiment regarding the domestic economy, household finances, employment, durable goods purchases and price levels declined. This divergence suggests that while stock investment sentiment improved, broader economic concerns persist. Taiwan's record low consumer confidence was 59.12 points in December 2022 and record high was 87.86 points in March 2018.
