Argentina Unemployment Rate

Argentina's unemployment rate fell to 7.6% in Q2 2025 from 7.9% in Q1 2025. This decrease occurred as the employment rate rose to 44.5% and the labor force participation rate fell to 48.1%. An economic recovery, supported by fiscal adjustments and exchange rate stabilization, drove this trend. While construction and manufacturing jobs decreased earlier in the year, broader economic reactivation is evident. Formal salaried jobs declined with a notable increase in self-employment. Argentina's record low unemployment rate was 5.7% in Q3 2023 and record high was 20.8% in Q4 2002.
