Indonesia's business confidence decreased by 1.3% to 11.55 points in Q3 2025 from 11.7 points in Q2 2025. Cautious lending standards including stricter administrative requirements, collateral conditions and loan approval fees, contributed to this decline. However, business activities in Mining and Excavation, Construction and the Processing Industry improved. Businesses expect continued positive growth in activities for Q4 2025. Indonesia's record low business confidence was -35.75 points in Q2 2020 and record high was 20.89 points in Q2 2018.

The Indonesia Business Confidence Index measures business optimism about the economy. Calculated by Bank Indonesia using surveys, it reflects the balance between positive and negative responses on current conditions and future expectations. An index above 100 indicates optimism, below 100 suggests pessimism.
