Slovakia Business Confidence
Slovakia's business confidence fell to -3.7 points in September 2025, a three-month low, down from 3 points in August 2025. This represents a 223.3% decrease. The decline stems from geopolitical tensions and domestic fiscal consolidation measures worth approximately €5 billion. A slowdown in Germany and US tariffs also weakened foreign demand. Persistent inflation including a VAT increase, further pressured businesses. Slovakia's record low business confidence was -42.3 points in April 2020 and record high was 11.3 points in January 2016.
