Slovakia Consumer Confidence
Slovakia's consumer confidence increased to -22.3 points in September 2025 from -24.4 points in August 2025. This marks the highest level since March 2025. The improvement was driven by a less pessimistic outlook on household finances, a more favorable attitude towards savings and eased concerns about unemployment. Sentiment regarding the country's economic situation also improved slightly. This shift corresponds with a moderation in Slovakia's inflation with the HICP easing to 4.4 percent year-on-year in August 2025. The unemployment rate increased slightly year-on-year to 5.3% in the second quarter of 2025 but remains at historically low levels. Slovakia's record low consumer confidence was -41.9 points in April 2020 and record high was -2.5 points in September 2017.
