Brazil's business confidence rose to 47.2 points in October 2025, the highest in three months. This is a 2.2% increase from September 2025's 46.2 points. The Central Bank of Brazil held its Selic rate at 15.00% through September and July 2025. Inflation expectations for 2025 were approximately 4.8% in September 2025, remaining above the target. Brazil's record low business confidence was 34.5 points in April 2020 and record high was 65.3 points in January 2020.

Brazil business confidence gauges the optimism of Brazilian companies about economic conditions. It is calculated from surveys assessing current business activity and future expectations for production orders and employment. A reading above 50 generally signals positive sentiment or expected growth while a reading below 50 indicates negative sentiment or expected contraction.
