Brazil Services PMI
Brazil's Services PMI fell to 46.3 points in September 2025 from 49.3 points in August 2025. This represents a 6.1% monthly decline. The contraction stems from reduced demand and a sustained drop in new business. Elevated interest rates of 15%, implemented to combat inflation, are increasing borrowing costs and limiting consumer and business spending. Persistent inflation in food and essential goods is straining household finances. Business confidence is declining, prompting downward revisions to GDP growth forecasts. Brazil's record low Services PMI was 46.3 points in July 2025 and record high was 56.4 points in July 2024.
