Egypt Imports
Egypt's imports decreased by 3.1% to $8.69 billion in August 2025 from $8.96 billion in July 2025. This decline aligns with managed currency depreciation and import rationalization efforts to boost foreign currency reserves. A contraction in the non-oil private sector in March 2025 due to weakened demand also reduced import needs. Egypt's record low imports was $3.7 billion in June 2017 and record high was $8.96 billion in July 2025.
