France Consumer Confidence
France's consumer confidence increased by 2.3% to 90 points in October 2025, reaching its highest level since April 2025. This followed a reading of 88 points in September 2025. Household pessimism regarding financial outlook eased to -11 from -14. Both expected and current saving capacities rose and saving intentions hit a four-month high. Unemployment prospects improved to 48 from 54. France's record low consumer confidence was 80 in July 2022 and record high was 109 in June 2017.

France consumer confidence measures French household expectations regarding their personal financial situation and the overall economic climate. It is calculated by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) using a monthly survey. The index represents the balance of opinion derived from responses concerning past and future changes in financial conditions, purchasing power and savings capacity.
