Ireland Existing Home Sales
Ireland's existing home sales fell by 10.3% in August 2025 to 3,201 units, down from 3,567 units in July 2025. This decline is attributed to persistent supply shortages against robust demand and typical summer seasonality. Despite the sales decrease, property prices rose by 7.4% in the 12 months to August 2025 as measured by the national Residential Property Price Index. This price inflation outpaces wage growth, potentially affecting buyer affordability. Ireland's record low existing home sales was 1,701 units in May 2020 and record high was 4,076 units in November 2022.
